Learn how to use dynamic QR codes to enhance user experience by automatically redirecting users to the appropriate app store based on their device. When a user scans the QR code with their smartphone, it detects whether the device is running iOS or Android and directs them to the corresponding app store. This method eliminates the need for multiple QR codes, simplifies marketing efforts, and increases app download rates. By using just one QR code, businesses can save space on marketing materials and ensure a clean, professional appearance. QrPathway provides this advanced feature, allowing businesses to optimize their marketing strategies and provide a seamless, personalized experience for their audience on their preferred platform.

1) Get the link url for your apps. As an example, we will use the instagram app from the store for both andriod and IOS

IOS link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/instagram/id389801252

Andriod link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instagram.android

2) Navigate to the "links" tab, and create a new short url. For this example we will name the link as "download_app". Then add the Andriod link as the "destination url". Then click on "create"

You just created a short link that redirects users to your app in the Andriod Play store.

3) Open the new link that you just created in QrPathways, and scroll down to the "targeting" section. From the "targeting type" dropdown, choose "Operating system", then add "IOS", and then add the link to your app in the IOS app store, for example: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/instagram/id389801252

Then click the "update" button to save the information

Once a user visits your short link, if they are on an IOS system, they will be redirected to the IOS store, and if they are not then by default they will be redirected to the Andriod store.

Now you can create a QR code from the new short link you created, and once scanned by users, it will take them to the correct app store. If you have not created a Dynamic QR code using QrPathway before, click this link to view a guide on how to create a dynamic qr code.
