How to schedule QR code expiration dates

Created on 14 August, 2024Tutorial • 1 minutes read

QrPathway's URL scheduling feature allows you to set specific start and end dates for your QR codes. This means you can define exactly when your QR code becomes active and when it expires. Once the expiration date is reached, anyone who scans the QR code or visits the link will be automatically redirected to a pre-defined "expiration URL." This level of control is perfect for time-sensitive campaigns, seasonal promotions, or events where timing is crucial.

Key Benefits of Using URL Scheduling

  1. Precise Timing: Set the exact start and end date and time for your QR code to ensure that users access your content only within the desired timeframe.
  2. Automatic Redirection: Once the QR code expires, users are redirected to an "expiration URL" of your choice, ensuring a seamless user experience even after the campaign has ended.
  3. Enhanced Campaign Management: With the ability to control when your QR code is active, you can better manage multiple campaigns, avoiding any overlap or confusion.
  4. Flexibility: Whether you're promoting a limited-time offer, managing access to an event, or scheduling content releases, QrPathway's URL scheduling feature gives you the flexibility to meet your specific needs.

Follow these steps to schedule effective and expiration date using QrPathway's scheduling feature.

Now if a user scans a qr code, and they are not within the start and end date, they will be redirected to the expiration url.

If you do not specify an expiration url, then the user will be redirected to qrpathway.com if user scans the qrcode or visits the short link outside of the start and end date.
